EARLY BEGINNINGS

Founded in 1987 by three prominent men in the local pan fraternity, Larry Largen, Kenneth Thomas (steel fabricator – deceased) and Lincoln ‘Delgado’ Noel (leading technician – deceased), Lincoln Enterprises Ltd is a pioneer in the commercialization of the steel pan instrument in Trinidad and Tobago. Together, they were able to create the first ever pan boutique in Trinidad & Tobago. With over 40 years’ experience in the business of the steel pan and an unshakable passion and entrepreneurial spirit, Larry Largen has been able to synergize the pillars of the industry, bringing steel pans crafted by world-renowned tuners into the hands of the layman.

In 1996, the company received the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the areas of best overall small to medium enterprise and best exporting business. Lincoln Enterprises continued to grow in popularity throughout the years to become an industry household name.

WHAT IS A “LINCOLN PAN”

Every “LINCOLN PAN” is a finely crafted musical instrument, lovingly created by master tuners from Trinidad and Tobago – that special place on earth where the only new acoustic (family of) musical instrument invented in the twentieth century evolved.

Lincoln Enterprises Limited pioneered the commercial manufacture and marketing of the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago – the steelpan. From its debut in 1988, the Lincoln Pan, through the years, became the instrument of choice for professionals, celebrated pansoloists, student orchestras, amateur musicians, small ensembles and even full orchestras. FromJapan to the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean, the melody of a Lincoln Pan resounds.

The Lincoln Enterprises Ltd. family sees the steelpan in a much more sentimental and romantic light. We remember the roar of the fires, the clanging of the sinking hammers and the gentle tapping of the master tuners as the steelpan is forged from the unyielding steel drum, to become a professional musical instrument. This is an instrument capable of capturing audiences from the Panorama stage in the Savannah in Trinidad to the acoustically correct Royal Albert Hall in England.
